For those pupils who had read more than 4 times across the majority of the weeks, recieved a large bar of chocolate.
As you can guess the children were all extremely excited.

Kosovo Fundraising

Following our visit from Elizabeth Gowing (an award winning writer, who lives in Kosovo and is the co founder of The Ideas Partnership) we have been collecting shoes and fundraising to help Elizabeth tackle Kosovo's education and enviornment challenges. On 15th October we held a non uniform day where eachchild paid a £1. We sold cakes and loom bands in order to raise money to support the development of a new pre-school in Kosovo. Mrs Whetham is kindly taking the large amounts of shoes that were kindly donated out to Kosovo for the families in need.

Class 3 Visit to Braeside

Braeside is an old house in Devizes, with lovely grounds, where Years 4, 5 & 6 spent 3 days.  We had lots of fun, with visits to Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow and a nearby farm, along with lots of other activities.  Our favourite things were: petting the baby goats, milking a plastic cow, building fires and toasting marshmallows, trying to balance a whole team of people on a wobble-board, and wobbling about in the canoes.  We worked well in teams, and just enjoyed being away with our friends.
